A Moon made up of Cheese

It was Chukki’s dream to eat that Cheese. Chukki is, grey, hairy, with two big ears and one long tail. She is a mouse.

Do you know where the cheese is?? It is in the sky. Sometimes it looked round, and sometimes it looked like half broken biscuit and the rest of the times it looked like a smile on the face.

Chukki thought the Moon as cheese.

mouse cheese story

Chukki wants to eat that Cheese, but she doesn’t know how to reach it. She yearned for that Cheese, so she sang a sad song, “Oooo..ooooo.. Oh my Dear Cheeseee! When will I come and get you, whenever I see you my mouth is watering….tell me a way to reach youuuuuu”

Listening to the sad song, Chukki’s friend, Monkey asked, “Chu! Chu! Why are you singing a sad song, tell me what is your problem? I will help you to solve it and make you happy” Chukki said about the cheese.

Monkey thought for a while and said “Okay, You can sit on my back and I can jump as high as I can. I will swing on branches of the trees and reach the sky. Monkey and Chukki tried, but could not reach the Cheese. Chukki was disappointed. She again started to sing the song.

After a while, a Giraffe came to see Chukki. Chukki told her wish to Giraffe. Giraffe said “Let me try! Sit on my neck and I will raise my neck and take you to the cheese”. Giraffe tried hard but he could not reach the moon. Again Chukki started singing.

A Pigeon flew and sat near Chukki. Chukki told her story to the Pigeon. Pigeon said “Ah! It’s very easy; now hold my legs tight, I will take you right”. Pigeon could not fly that high. It felt sorry for her.

Monkey, Giraffe and the Pigeon, all the three said “Forgive us Friend! One day we will find a way and take you to that round cheese. You can munch and enjoy it”.

Chukki laughed and said “Don’t feel sad, you all tried to help me and that is enough”

Chukki does not want to go to the sky and eat the Moon. Even if it’s made of Cheese!

The Pan and the Potatoes By Kirsi Kunnas

Phew! I’m sweating and steaming I feel like screaming I’m bubbling and seething I’m rattling like tea-things The pan said took his hat off his head and Phew! I’m absolutely boiling I’m bristling and whistling and hustling and moiling And all hot and sizzling It’s a mad mad bustle The pan said took its hat off its head and Phew! Ouch this hoppity, hoppity, hoppity Shouted the potatoes, popping up fit to split No way of stopping it, dropping it, swapping it dancing a polka, have to, dance, dancing a polka Got to go higher now, shoes are on fire now Galloping, galloping, off at a lollop Jumping and jumping and off at a wallop Turning and thumping, thumping and turning Oh this knocking and bumping and socking Off again copping it, hopping it, whopping it makes me split No way of stopping it!   This poem sings about how the potatoes are feeling when they are boiled in a pan. The potatoes say that they are very angry and wanted to scream becaus...
