Once upon a time there was a King and a Queen in Italy. They had a beautiful and intelligent daughter. Her name was Kiara.
Kiara was a knowledgeable, bright and clever girl. The king asked her to choose a prince from the other kingdoms for her marriage. Being an intelligent girl, Kiara said “Father, I wanted to marry a man who has equal knowledge like me or can be of more intelligence and wise. He doesn’t need to be a Prince”.
The worried king said
“Kiara, How will I find such a man?”
Kiara replied “Father, don’t
worry. I will make the selection process quick and easy. Any man can ask me 9
Questions. If I am unable to answer any one of the question, then I will marry
him”.
The king knew that
Kiara is the only smart and intelligent girl in the kingdom. He was troubled
that when will she find the intelligent boy and when will she get married?
The King approached his good
friend Francesco Accarigi, who was a
great scholar and a teacher in the kingdom. The king filled him with his
daughter’s request in selection process of her groom. Francesco said “Dear Friend,
I knew an intelligent man who is equally educated and knowledgeable like Kiara.
I will send him to the palace to ask her questions”.
The next day there was a long
queue in front of the palace. There were many handsome princes from different countries
and also good looking men who would like to marry Princess Kiara. Princess
Kiara answered all the questions in minutes and defeated the men with her knowledge.
At last, a handsome young man who
was dressed simple had his turn to ask questions to Kiara. His name was
Galileo. He started asking her the questions one by one.
Galileo asked “How many stars are
there in the sky?”
Kiara answered “There are 200
billion trillion stars in the universe just like sand in the shore”
Galileo asked “Name a person who
can be given the highest paid job in the world?
Kiara replied “It’s a mother.
Nobody could pay her for the work she does for her children and family”
Galileo asked the third question “What
is the difference between truth and lies?”
Kiara answered “Lie can travel
around the world halfway but the truth is putting on its shoes. The only
difference is courage and cowardice”.
Galilieo shooted his fourth
question “which man is considered handless even though if he has two hands?”
Kiara took less than a minute to
reply “A rich man who doesn’t have a heart to share his money with poor people
is considered a handless man”.
Galileo asked the fifth question “Who
has eyes, but still blind?”
Kiara responded “A man who can
see the suffering of others but does not have the feeling of compassion and empathy
is considered as a blind person”.
Galilieo showed the
princess, a picture of collapsed Colosseum and asked her “What do you
understand from this picture?”
The princess said “The
basement of Colosseum was weak and wasn’t strong that is why it collapsed”.
The princess has found
out that Galileo is an intelligent man and his questions are unique. Princess
Kiara started to like him for his knowledge on vast subjects. But she didn’t reveal
it. She waited for him to ask the last three questions.
Galileo threw his
seventh question to her “A woman was carrying a big bundle of wooden sticks on
her head and another bundle of sticks on her left hand but she is still
collecting more sticks. What do you think about this woman?”
Kiara answered “The
woman is so greedy. She knew that she could carry a certain amount of weight. But
she wanted to collect more to earn more”.
Galileo fired his
eighth question “Princess Kiara, you are an intelligent woman. Now tell me which
question is hard for you to answer?”
Kiara laughed at his
question. She bowed down to him and said “You defeated me with your knowledge.
I would like to marry you”.
Galileo and Kiara, both
got married and lived a happy life.
Moral:
Intelligence will never stop being beautiful. Knowledge is having the right
answer. Intelligence is asking the right question.
